In 1984, BMW Motorrad thought the boxer motor had run its course. The K-series (The Flying Brick) had been introduced 2 years prior as the future of BMW. Since the boxer was going away, BMW thought they would honor the long-running design with a special “Last Edition.” A total of just 740 examples were built across varying models such as the R100, the RS, RT, S, and CS. Happy New Year! We are looking forward to an exciting new year in 2022. We are happy to see the 15th Annual Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show back on the calendar again this year. The date is January 29th, 2022 at Frost Park in Dania Beach, FL. This is great event and is presented by our friends from the AMCA Everglades Chapter. Riding Into History will have a tent there and we are looking forward to seeing everyone we missed in 2021. The Barber Museum to Display at the Riding into History Concours d’Elegance

1954 AJS E-95 Porcupine The world famous Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is going to display six of their award winning motorcycles at the 21st Riding Into History Concours d’Elegance to be held on April 24, 2021.  Included in the display with be a 1954 AJS E-95 Porcupine (pictured here).  This motorcycle was the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours Class X inaugural winner.  Some of the other motorcycles to be displayed are a 1955 AWO/Simson 250, 1964 BSA Lightning Cutaway and a 1962 Matchless G 50. Wayne Carini, 2021 Riding into History Grand Marshal On-Line Registration for the 21st Annual Riding into History event at the World Golf Village will open on January 1, 2021. We will be celebrating the Brilliant British Bikes with Wayne Carini as our Grand Marshal! We will have all the usual events starting with the Grand Marshal Tour (scenic lunch ride on Antique Motorcycles) and the Grand Marshal Banquet on Friday April 23rd. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic National State of Emergency, Riding Into History has had to reschedule this year’s event(s) to the weekend of April 24, 2021. The rescheduled event will still be our 21st Annual Riding Into History and it will feature the Brilliant British Bikes at the World Golf Village, just as we planned for this year. Wall hanging donated to our Silent Auction by Legendary Motorcycles Riding into History was well represented with exhibits at both vintage swap meets this year.  Thanks to the sponsors who donated the space for us to set up our booth.  Sunshine Chapter of the AMCA and the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club.  In addition to being able to promote Riding Into History, is was great to talk to so many vintage motorcycle enthusiasts.
